Refund & Return Policy

At Blackstone Leather (accessible from blackstoneleather.com), we take immense pride in crafting premium, full-grain leather goods designed for a lifetime of use. We recognize that there are times you may need to return an item due to sizing or preference. Please review our policies below regarding returns, custom orders, and refunds.

1. Return Eligibility & Timeframe

We offer a 30-day return policy for standard, non-customized items.

  • Timeframe: You have 30 days from the date of purchase to request and initiate a return. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.

  • Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unworn, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

  • Return Shipping Costs: The buyer is responsible for paying return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect (photographic and video evidence required). Shipping costs are non-refundable.

2. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

Due to the bespoke nature of custom crafting and specific product categories, the following items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded:

  • Personalized & Engraved Items: Any product featuring custom name embossing, laser engraving, monograms, or specific custom-made modifications. Once engraved, items are non-reusable and non-resellable.

  • Excluded Categories: Leather jackets, apparel, leather chairs, and stools are final sale and non-returnable.

3. Handcrafted Variations & Natural Characteristics

Every item at Blackstone Leather is individually handcrafted using genuine full-grain leather. As a result, minor human and natural variations may occur, including:

  • 5–10% subtle variations in leather color tone or patina depth.

  • Slight differences in hardware buckles or thread color compared to listing photos.

  • Unique natural leather grain, markings, or subtle hand-cut nuances.

These characteristics highlight authentic, artisanal craftsmanship rather than mass-factory production. They are not considered manufacturing defects, and we do not provide free return shipping for these natural variations.

4. How Refunds Are Processed

  • Inspection: Once your returned item is received and inspected at our UK facility, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Payout: If approved, your refund will be processed immediately. A credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Non-Delivery, Import Duties & Shipping Delays

  • Customer Cooperation: Courier partners (e.g., DPD, Royal Mail, DHL) may contact you for delivery coordination or ID verification. If a parcel is returned to us due to non-cooperation or missed delivery attempts, shipping charges and restocking fees will be deducted from your final refund.

  • Import Taxes & Customs (Outside UK): Customs duties, VAT, or local government fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. If a shipment is rejected or returned due to unpaid import taxes, a refund will not be issued.

  • Courier Delays: Transit delays caused by customs processing, severe weather, or courier network disruptions after a valid tracking number is issued do not qualify for shipping refunds.

6. Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests are accepted within 24 hours of placing your order or before the item enters production/dispatch, whichever comes first. Cancellations requested after this 24-hour window cannot be guaranteed.

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received an approved refund after 10 business days:

  1. Re-check your bank account or credit card statement.

  2. Contact your credit card provider or bank, as processing delays often occur before a transaction officially posts.
